Gael Greene and James Beard founded Citymeals on Wheels in 1981 after learning homebound elderly New Yorkers had nothing to eat on weekends and holidays. To date, Citymeals has delivered more than 54 million meals to the city’s frail aged population. Thanks to our board members and certain designated grants, we are able to promise that 100% of all public donations will be used entirely for the preparation and delivery of meals.

The holidays bring back fond memories of my grandparents and it’s so important to take care of our elders, especially in these difficult times.
