When I first moved to London I was bewildered, misplaced and troubled. I would run until I couldn't run anymore into the garden park right outside my flat. Once secluded in a more private section of the park I would collapse onto my knees and pull out my diary. I would write, and rewrite, if I needed too, the phrase, "I was sent here to grow". I had to stay connected to the ground, to the dirt, it was my life source..and I knew one day I would grow, as long as I kept myself grounded..planted.
So much for my changed in my life there that it almost seems a lifetime ago. I am so thankful for these shots, these memories and these moments, captured.
This shoot with Harry Isaacs was one of the first of many shoots I would do in London.
